On April 26, the Amvrosievsky Communists took part in a solemn meeting and a rally dedicated to respectfully mark the anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy. This is reported by the correspondent of the site «Vperyod» («Forward»).
In her speech, the first secretary of the Amvrosievsky District Committee of the CPDPR — Lyudmila Yakubovskaya — thanked the Soviet Staff who bravely gave their lives fighting to limit the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. Those gathered honoured the memory of the deceased Soviet liquidators, and laid flowers at the foot of the monument.
