Today, September 29, in Donetsk, there was an explosion in the room where the extraordinary IV Congress of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic was being held. One person is shell-shocked, three have received burns of varying degrees, the correspondent of the Wpered website reports.
«There was an explosion. Fire, smoke. They began to take people out. Three were taken by an ambulance. First secretary of the Donetsk city committee of the CP of the DPR Irina Yakina is among the injured. Her arms, legs and back were cut by the shrapnel. The doctors assure that her life is not in danger,» – said First Secretary of the Central Committee of the CP of the DPR Boris Litvinov.
He suggested that the terrorist attack in the premises of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic was aimed at frustrating the participation of the Communists in the election campaign.
The question of the participation of the Communist Party of the DPR in the election campaign before the upcoming elections to the People’s Council was considered at the Congress. The question of nomination for the post of Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic was not raised. Igor Khakimzyanov, one of the possible candidates for this position, is not a member of the CP of the DPR and was present at the congress only as a guest.
