On July 20, a plenum of the Central Committee of the CP of the DPR was held in Donetsk, a correspondent of the website «Wperjod» reports.
At the Plenum, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the CP of the DPR Boris Litvinov spoke about an assassination attempt on his life. With the help of two grenades, the attacker tried to blow up the car on which the head of the Communist Party travels. Nevertheless, Boris Litvinov was able to detect the explosive device in time and summon law enforcement officials.
Then Boris Litvinov spoke about a working visit to Moscow, during which he took part in the plenary sessions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Central Council of the UCP-CPSU. On hearing the report of Boris Litvinov, members of the Central Committee decided to hold solemn events in the DPR on the 140th anniversary of Joseph Stalin, the 150th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. In addition, the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the party will take place in October of this year and the centenary of the Komsomol of Donbass will be celebrated in April of the next year.
At the Plenum, an appeal was made to the members of the Antfascist caravan, who have been conducting a humanitarian campaign in support of the people of Donbass for five years, and a film was shown about their international activities. A statement was also made in connection with Ukraine’s increased military pressure on the DPR and LPR.
